Basketball Recap: Rocksprings Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Rocksprings was the 49-39 winner over Comstock when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rocksprings Angoras took a hard 53-36 fall against the Comstock Panthers on Friday.

Comstock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Neal Billings, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points. Creed Hardin was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Rocksprings' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-11. As for Comstock, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Rocksprings and Comstock: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Rocksprings will try to hand Medina their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Comstock will look to extend Leakey's 16-game losing streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
