            Volleyball Recap: Canon City Tigers vs. The Vanguard School Coursers        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Thomas MacLaren School  last Monday, Canon City came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against  The Vanguard School Coursers on Wednesday, falling  3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tigers haven't been shut out since  back in March.
 The  defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  The Vanguard School scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20,  25-17.
 Canon City's loss  came despite strong showings from  Mason Lenard and  Micah Paschall.  Lenard  had 18  digs, while  Paschall  had ten  digs and ten assists. Lenard has been hot recently, having  posted 14 or more  digs the last three times he's  played.  Noah Donald also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  assist of the season.

The  loss snapped Canon City's winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 6-5 record. As for The Vanguard School,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-7.
 Coming up, Canon City will welcome Colorado Springs Christian  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for The Vanguard School, they will challenge Eaglecrest at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
