Volleyball Game Preview: Perry County Vikings vs. Summertown Eagles

Perry County hasn't had much luck against Summertown recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Vikings will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Perry County came up short against Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Perry County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Summertown had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs.

While Summertown won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 27-25.

Perry County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Summertown, their win bumped their record up to 31-7.

Perry County might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Summertown when the teams last played back in August. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
