Baseball Recap: Bradford Takes a Loss

Bradford managed to slip by Ansonia the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Railroaders came up short against the Tigers on Friday, falling 10-0. The Railroaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Bradford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Nicolson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Nicolson's first of the season.

Bradford's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ansonia, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Bradford will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Emmanuel Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. As for Ansonia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Fort Recovery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
