Volleyball Game Preview: Salesian Mustangs vs. St. Anthony Saints

The Salesian Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the St. Anthony Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

Last Tuesday, Salesian earned a 3-1 victory over St. Genevieve.

Salesian was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony got the win against St. Paul on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

St. Anthony walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-17, 25-17.

St. Anthony's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Salesian, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-11.

Salesian might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from St. Anthony in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can Salesian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
