Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, West Orange couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a blow against the Venice Indians on Friday, falling 70-35. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

West Orange's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devonte Anderson, who picked up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Anderson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending four passes. Dakiren 'Duggy' Glover did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 99 receiving yards.

Leading Venice to victory were Darryon Jones and Dorian 'Macho' Jones. Darryon rushed for 108 yards and four TDs on only ten carries, while Dorian 'Macho' gained 257 total yards. The dominant performance also gave Dorian 'Macho' a new career-high in rushing yards (218). Tyree Mannings also helped out with an impressive 123 receiving yards.

West Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Venice, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

West Orange does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Venice, they will be playing at home against Sumner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Stingrays have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
