Softball Recap: Bishop Moore's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Bishop Moore had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Edgewater Eagles with a sharp 16-1 win on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Riley Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one triple. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Stella Willy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Bishop Moore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bishop Moore's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Edgewater, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
