Football Recap: Ringling Blue Devils vs. Dibble Demons
While it was Ringling who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Dibble who put up more. The Ringling Blue Devils were just a hair shy of victory and fell 28-27 to the Dibble Demons. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dibble can attribute much of their success to Ed Perez, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Perez now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Ringling's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Dibble, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ringling will venture away from home to take on Elmore City-Pernell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ringling is facing Elmore City-Pernell at the right time seeing as Elmore City-Pernell is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Dibble, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
