Recap: Archbishop Bergan Knights vs. Aquinas Monarchs
The Archbishop Bergan Knights lost to the Aquinas Monarchs back in December of 2023, but the Archbishop Bergan Knights didn't allow the Aquinas Monarchs the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Archbishop Bergan came out on top against Aquinas by a score of 50-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Archbishop Bergan.
It was another big night for Logan Eggen, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Wendt, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.
Archbishop Bergan pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Aquinas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Bergan will face off against Concordia at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aquinas, they will head out on the road to face off against Grand Island Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Grand Island Central Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
