Volleyball Recap: Pratt Comes Up Short

Pratt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Collegiate Spartans. The Greenbacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Pratt started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Savannah Copus paced Pratt's offense, picking up 11 kills. Copus got some help from Emry Myers and her nine assists. Addison Sowers controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Khloie Villagomez, who had nine digs and one assist.

Pratt's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Collegiate, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Pratt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Conway Springs on the 4th. As for Collegiate, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Bluestem on the 4th.
