Basketball Recap: Holmes County Comes Up Short

Holmes County lost against Bethlehem back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Holmes County Blue Devils received a blow as they fell 54-36 to the Bethlehem Wildcats. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bethlehem was led to victory by Kolton Amerson and Marques Russell. Amerson posted 20 points, while Russell earned 18 points. Amerson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Holmes County now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Bethlehem, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Holmes County has already played their next game (against Ponce De Leon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bethlehem Wildcats face off against the L.E.A.D. Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bethlehem will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
