Recap: Texas School for the Deaf Rangers vs. Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Incarnate Word Academy, the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Oklahoma School for the Deaf by a score of 42-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Texas School for the Deaf also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being RyJan Reininger, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Reininger's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Russell Fewel, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Texas School for the Deaf now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Oklahoma School for the Deaf, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
Texas School for the Deaf is on the road again on Friday and play against Arkansas School for the Deaf at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Oklahoma School for the Deaf, they will take on Louisiana School for the Deaf at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Louisiana School for the Deaf will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 346th in Louisiana, while Oklahoma School for the Deaf is ranked 137th in Oklahoma).
