The South Sevier Rams got the win against the Kearns Cougars on Wednesday by a conclusive 17-1. Considering the Rams have won 12 matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
South Sevier got a massive performance out of Peyton Ingram, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave Ingram a new career-high. Cannon Barney was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.
South Sevier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kearns only posted an OBP of .316.
South Sevier's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Kearns, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
Coming up, South Sevier will challenge Kanab at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kearns, they will take on Clearfield at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
