Softball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lincoln's offense. They came up short against the Wheatland Pirates on Thursday, falling 20-0. Considering the last time the Fighting Zebras couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln and nudges their season record down to 5-11. As for Wheatland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-8 win against Marysville on the 8th. As for Wheatland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-0 victory against Mira Loma on the 7th.
