Softball Recap: Bluffton Comes Up Short

Bluffton came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-5 to the Beaufort Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Bluffton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Beaufort, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-9-1 record.

Coming up, Bluffton will face off against May River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sharks have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Beaufort, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Colleton County on the 3rd.
