Trinity Christian Academy is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since May 1, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Peabody 12-11. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Haley Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off 13 hits. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Rylee Hidrogo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Abby Davis, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.
Trinity Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .472. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson North Side). They put the hurt on Fayette Ware with a sharp 12-2 victory last Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Jackson North Side got a big performance out of Kaleigha Hartfield, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Deja Hill was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.
Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Jackson North Side, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Trinity Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Jackson North Side struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
