Floyd Central hadn't beaten Betsy Layne on the road since February 27, 2024 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. Floyd Central walked away with a 63-56 victory over Betsy Layne.

Floyd Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Howard, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Howard is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Boyd, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Martin County against Phelps on Saturday as the squad secured a 100-72 win. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

Floyd Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-18. As for Martin County, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.
