Volleyball Recap: Dixie County Finds Home Court Redemption Against Bronson

There's no place like home for Dixie County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bronson Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Dixie County walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.

Dixie County can attribute much of their success to Riley Whitaker, who had 19 assists and six digs. That's the most assists Whitaker has posted over her last six contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaicee Brown, who had 27 digs and three aces.

Dixie County was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bronson only served eight.

Dixie County's record now sits at 9-11. As for Bronson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Coming up, Dixie County will welcome Fort White at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bronson, they will venture away from home to square off against Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
