Softball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 12-17. They fell 4-0 to the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-0 defeat two weeks ago.

As for T.L. Hanna, they pushed their record up to 24-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.

For T.L. Hanna's part, the result came thanks to Addison Sharp 2028's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. Sharp 2028 has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, T.L. Hanna's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emma Williams 2027, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Callie Kinert 2028 was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As of now, neither Hillcrest nor T.L. Hanna have any future games scheduled.
