Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Duchesne walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the North Sevier Wolves on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Despite the defeat, North Sevier saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Houston Mickelsen posted 13 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kade Johnson, who scored eight points along with five assists and five boards.

Duchesne's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for North Sevier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Duchesne will take on North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 65.4 points per game this season. North Sevier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
