Basketball Recap: Forges Academy Comes Up Short

Forges Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 73-25 loss at the hands of the IMG Academy Ascenders. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Forges Academy lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nojus Vitosis, who posted ten points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mantas Stonkus, who put up eight points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Forges Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Forges Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jewish Culture at 3:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for IMG Academy, they will face off against Weeki Wachee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
