Football Game Preview: Sandpoint Bulldogs vs. Skyline Grizzlies + How To Watch

Sandpoint hasn't had much luck against Skyline recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sandpoint is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They secured a 28-24 W over Minico. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly four points.

Meanwhile, Skyline got the win against Bonneville on Friday by a conclusive 42-21. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Sandpoint better keep an eye on Zyan Crockett. He was instrumental in Skyline's win, picking up 177 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 134 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. That's the most receiving yards Crockett has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was John Giannini, who threw for 285 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt.

Skyline was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Skyline pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.8 points over those games. As for Sandpoint, their record is now 8-2.

Sandpoint ended up a good deal behind Skyline in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, losing 42-28. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Lachlan Haacke (who threw for 307 yards and six touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
