Lee County is 8-2 against Union Pines since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Yellow Jackets will be playing at home against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While Lee County's victory against Harnett Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellow Jackets never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. Lee County haven't had any issues with Harnett Central recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Lee County's one-goal win came courtesy of Christian Ochoa, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Union Pines was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southern Lee. One reason for the loss might be Union Pines' aggressive play style: Cole Harkins and Alex Gold were both handed yellow cards.

Union Pines' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lee County, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Lee County was able to grind out a solid victory over Union Pines when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
