Baseball Recap: Alamogordo's Win Ends 14-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Alamogordo barely beat Gadsden the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Panthers on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted against the Panthers since April 27, 2023.

Jaden Ruiz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Maclin, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Alamogordo's win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 10-15. As for Gadsden, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Alamogordo beat Gadsden by a score of 6-2 later that day.
