Basketball Recap: Clinton Christian Triumphs

Clinton Christian lost to Harlan Christian back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Clinton Christian Couriers made off with a 54-53 victory over Harlan Christian.

Clinton Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayden Lower out in front who posted 18 points and seven boards. What's more, Lower also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Anthony Snyder, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Clinton Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Clinton Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Harlan Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Portage Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clinton Christian is facing Portage Christian at the right time seeing as Portage Christian is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Harlan Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bird Lake Bible at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
