Rancho Cotate won the last time they faced Piner and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Prospectors by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Rancho Cotate got a great performance from Aiden O'Sullivan as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave O'Sullivan a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Jeremiah Olvera was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Jonah Kaltenbach also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Rancho Cotate's record is now 9-6. As for Piner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.
