Preview: West Brunswick Trojans vs. Trinity Bulldogs
The West Brunswick Trojans will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Trinity Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for West Brunswick and 15 for Trinity dating back to last season.
Last Friday, West Brunswick suffered a rough 53-28 loss at the hands of Hoggard. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Brunswick has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jahyra Mastry, who scored ten points. Ja'kya Johnson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Trinity had to suffer through a rough 75-22 loss at the hands of Central Davidson. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity in their matchups with Central Davidson: they've now lost four in a row.
West Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Trinity, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-11.
