Baseball Recap: Ripon Takes a Loss

Ripon fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against St. Mary Catholic on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Zephyrs by a score of 3-2. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row dating back to last season.

Ripon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coy DeVries, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Ripon's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Ripon has already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Campbellsport on the 4th. As for St. Mary Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Waupaca on the 12th.
