Softball Recap: Celina Comes Up Short

Celina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to the Van Alstyne Panthers. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Celina's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Van Alstyne, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Celina will be playing at home against Gainesville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gainesville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.12 runs per game on average), something Celina will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Van Alstyne, they will face off against Rockwall-Heath at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
