Baseball Game Preview: Redlands Terriers vs. Cajon Cowboys

Redlands is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Cajon is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Redlands will welcome Cajon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Redlands 4.1, Cajon 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, Redlands came up short against Citrus Valley and fell 7-4. The Terriers haven't had much luck with the Blackhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Cajon won against Chaparral on Saturday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Cajon came out on top in a nail-biter against Ramona, sneaking past 3-1.

Andrew Gonzales tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Jaden Carpenter was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Rubio, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Cajon's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Redlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
