Volleyball Recap: Oakwood Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Oakwood had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Ceiba College Preparatory Academy on Monday. The Hawks blew past the Spartans 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Oakwood never let Ceiba College Preparatory Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-16, 25-23.

Oakwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabelle Anderson, who had eight kills and two aces. That's the most kills Anderson has posted since back in October of 2024. Sophia Fieler was another key player, getting 13 kills and four aces.

They weren't the only good server: Oakwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Oakwood's record now sits at 9-4. As for Ceiba College Preparatory Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Oakwood and Ceiba College Preparatory Academy will both be playing Chartwell the next time they take the court. The Hawks will host the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on the 26th.
