Basketball Recap: Pine Tree Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After losing to Islesboro Central the last time they met, Pine Tree Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pine Tree Academy Breakers snuck past the Islesboro Central Eagles with a 40-36 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Breakers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pine Tree Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Islesboro Central, their record now sits at 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Tree Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wiscasset at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Tree Academy is facing Wiscasset at the right time seeing as Wiscasset is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Islesboro Central has already played their next game (against Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
