Basketball Recap: Maddox Buster's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Yellow Springs over Legacy Christian Academy

After flying high against East Dayton Christian last Tuesday, Yellow Springs came back down to earth. The Yellow Springs Bulldogs received a blow on Friday as they fell 62-47 to the Legacy Christian Academy Knights. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost five in a row.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddox Buster, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brayden Trimbach, who posted 16 points and three steals.

Yellow Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Yellow Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-40 win against Blanchester on the 21st. Legacy Christian Academy has also already played their next contest, a 73-42 defeat against Franklin Monroe on the 18th.
