Winston County won the last time they faced Hubbertville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Yellowjackets came out on top against the Lions by a score of 12-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

NEVAEH TAYLOR spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

On the hitting side, Winston County got a massive performance out of Ella Kennedy, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Kennedy has posted since back in March. REILLY WILLIAMSON was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Winston County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hubbertville only posted a batting average of .333.

Winston County's record now sits at 9-5. As for Hubbertville, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winston County will head out to challenge Cold Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hubbertville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hubbertville Lions challenge Berry Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
