St. David won the last time they faced Nogales and things went their way on Friday too. St. David blew past Nogales 7-1. Considering the Tigers have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jasmine Wise was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Austyn Hatch, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
St. David is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Nogales' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Looking ahead, St. David will host San Simon at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Nogales, they will take on Douglas in a tournament on Friday.
