Basketball Game Preview: Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds vs. Ottawa-Glandorf Titans

The Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Lima Central Catholic ended up a good deal behind Shawnee and lost 74-59. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Indians are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Ottawa-Glandorf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Spencerville an easy 56-35 victory. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lima Central Catholic's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Lima Central Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Ottawa-Glandorf in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 56-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lima Central Catholic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
