Football Recap: Provine Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Provine and Vicksburg on Friday hardly resembled the 14-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Rams were dealt a 55-6 defeat at the hands of the Gators. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Provine still got an impressive performance from CHARLES YATES, who rushed for 72 yards and one score. YATES showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.

Jermaine Gaines Jr had a dynamite game For Vicksburg., rushing for 118 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. Jadarius Henderson also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Provine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Vicksburg, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Provine will take on Holmes County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Vicksburg, they will challenge Cleveland Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Henderson and Anthony Stephens Jr.
