Meanwhile, Chevak faced Scammon Bay in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Saturday. The Comets fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 64-62. It was the first time this season that the Comets let down their fans at home.

Chevak's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Ninilchik, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
