Volleyball Recap: Golden West Trailblazers vs. Porterville Panthers
Golden West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Porterville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-23.
Viridiana Ruiz-Valle was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs gave her a new career-high.
Golden West's loss dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Porterville, their victory bumped their record up to 25-7.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Golden West is set to face off against their familiar foe Mt. Whitney at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Porterville will take on rival Redwood at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
