Basketball Recap: De Beque's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

De Beque won the last time they faced Vail Mountain and things went their way on Friday too. The De Beque Dragons snuck past the Vail Mountain Gore Rangers with a 53-48 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Vail Mountain still got an impressive performance from Hunter Iverson, who went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points and five boards. Those 18 points gave Iverson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Vidal, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.

De Beque's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Vail Mountain, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

De Beque has already played their next matchup, a 53-31 victory against North Park on the 18th. As for Vail Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-40 win against Hayden on the 18th.
