Valley View came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Berwick Bulldogs. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-13, 25-13.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Layla Marino, who had eight digs and five kills. Marino has been hot recently, having posted five or more kills the last three times she's played. Nevaeh Evans was another key player, getting six digs and four blocks.

Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Berwick, their victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

As of now, neither Valley View nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
