Sheldon came tearing into Friday's matchup with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Laguna Creek Cardinals to the tune of 87-49. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Cardinals are ranked 579th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chadwick Johnson was nothing short of spectacular: he went 8-for-13 on his way to 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Zion Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Chadwick wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Sheldon was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They racked up six more assists than Laguna Creek's also-impressive total of ten.

Despite the loss, Laguna Creek still got an impressive performance from Jordan Boyce, who went 7-for-17 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Koa Jones was another key player, putting up two points and six boards.

Sheldon pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points over those games. As for Laguna Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season.

Coming up, Sheldon will square off against Weston Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Weston Ranch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 contests. Laguna Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
