Basketball Recap: Seattle Academy Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Seattle Academy Cardinals came up short against the Lincoln Abes and fell 53-46. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Abes are ranked ninth).

This is the second loss in a row for Seattle Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seattle Academy will head out to challenge Bishop Blanchet at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Issaquah at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
