Lorelai May put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in March on Friday. She struck out three batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, May and Glenbard East will take on Palatine at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates swept Elk Grove off the field in their last game, a feat they'll no doubt try to repeat.
