Basketball Game Preview: Maple Hill Wildcats vs. Voorheesville Blackbirds

The Maple Hill Wildcats will face off against the Voorheesville Blackbirds at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Maple Hill saw some tournament action on Sunday. The contest between them and Delaware Academy didn't end well, with Maple Hill falling 54-37. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 17 points.

Meanwhile, Voorheesville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-40 victory over the Bulldogs. While the Blackbirds didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

This is the second loss in a row for Maple Hill and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Voorheesville, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Things could have been worse for Maple Hill, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-36 loss to Voorheesville in their previous matchup last Sunday.
