Volleyball Recap: Ellis Comes Up Short

Ellis was the 2-0 winner over Kinsley when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Railroaders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coyotes on Saturday. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Sienna Schmidt paced Ellis' offense, picking up five kills. Schmidt got some help from Taylor Kohl and her 15 assists. Schmidt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Ellis now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Kinsley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Ellis has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Trego on the 16th. As for Kinsley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Victoria on the 13th.
