Basketball Game Preview: Graham Red Devils vs. Northwood Chargers

The Graham Red Devils will square off against the Northwood Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Graham is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-17, which was the final score in Graham's tilt against Chatham Central last Friday. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while the Bears are ranked 158th).

Meanwhile, Northwood entered their matchup against Union Pines on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Northwood took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union Pines.

Graham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Northwood, their loss ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

Graham was dealt a bruising 58-17 defeat at the hands of Northwood in their previous meeting back in February. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Graham was down 42-10.
