Softball Recap: Chico Has No Trouble Against Central Valley

Chico had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Central Valley on Thursday. The Chico Panthers were the clear victor by a 15-1 margin over the Central Valley Falcons.

The team relied heavily on Emily Babler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caroline LaMoe, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Chico now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Central Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Chico will take on Mountain View in a tournament on March 15th. As for Central Valley, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Paradise at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
