Tolono Unity took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Pontiac, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Indians 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Rockets, who have now won five contests in a row.

Tolono Unity pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pontiac, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Tolono Unity will challenge Carbondale at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pontiac, they will square off against Glenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 2.2, the Titans 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
