Softball Recap: St. Patrick Fighting Irish vs. Poplarville Hornets
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Patrick ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Poplarville Hornets, sneaking past 6-5. This was payback for the Fighting Irish, who suffered a 6-3 loss the last time these two teams met.
Peyton Parks spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks.
